Participation is for one day and is free of charge for all participants.

End: approx. 4:30 p.m.
Over the course of three days, the Duisburger Yacht-Club e.V., in collaboration with the TURNING POINT Foundation, is offering children and teens between the ages of 8 and 18 the opportunity to try out sailing, get to know the sport, and perhaps even learn to love it.
Sailing will take place on Sonar boats, a former Paralympic boat class. All boats will be accompanied by qualified coaches. Over the course of one day, we’ll get to know the boats and the sport of sailing together and try out our first maneuvers. The crew on board consists of 4 participants and 2 coaches.
Everyone is welcome to join in. Those who haven’t sailed “yet” are warmly invited to actively try their hand at sailing. All you need is curiosity and an interest in sailing. No prior experience is necessary.

What do I bring to the table?
- sportswear and, depending on the weather, rain gear (rain pants, if available)
- sports shoes
- sunscreen
- sunglasses, preferably secured with a strap
- (sun) hat, cap, or similar
- a change of dry clothes (including shoes)
- towel
- a water bottle

Do I need to know how to sail?
No, no prior knowledge is required - everyone is welcome to join in.
