Peter SchablowskiInclusion Trainer
He grew up in the Sauerland region of North Rhine-Westphalia and has been sailing for over 50 years. During that time, he gained extensive regatta experience and mentored young sailors as a coach. For about 20 years, he has supported children and teenagers in inclusive sailing programs - a commitment he only fully realized after becoming the father of three children with disabilities. In 2022, thanks to intensive training he led, his daughter won the title of runner-up at the “Inclusion World Championship for Sailing.” Since then, he has been actively involved in the area of inclusion at the Yachtclub Möhnesee e.V. and works as a coach at TURNING POINT. His full-time job is as IT director at a medium-sized company. His work and goals stem from a single desire: to no longer need the word “inclusion,” because we are all human beings and live together as one!
“I see my role and expertise as giving children and young people the opportunity to set a milestone in their lives through the sport of sailing and thus to be part of society with unrestricted appreciation.”
