Jörg AleithInclusion Trainer

Jörg Aleith has been a member of the TURNING POINT Foundation’s core team since its founding. Jörg began sailing at the age of six and has since enjoyed a successful career as a competitive sailor. Drawing on his experience as a competitive sailor, Jörg began coaching a group of children and teenagers at the sailing training center in his hometown as early as the 1980s. During this time, he successfully completed his studies at the Technical University of Magdeburg and subsequently devoted himself to his professional career. But once a sailor, always a sailor - so after retiring from his professional career, his path led him back to where his athletic career began and where wind and water meet. It was here that Jörg first became involved with inclusive and Paralympic sailing and discovered his passion for working in the field of inclusive sailing. In addition to his passionate commitment as an inclusion coach, he is deeply involved in logistics and the TURNING POINT bus. Thanks to his forward-thinking approach, there is never a shortage of spare parts, and the TURNING POINT boats are always in perfect condition.

“For many years, the focus on inclusion and parasports has been on flagship projects designed to raise awareness of these issues. Now it’s time to broaden the reach of this topic and make it accessible to as many people as possible. I’d like to play a part in making that happen.”
