Bernd Zirkelbach has been building up Paralympic sailing in Germany since the mid-1990s. The proud father of two children - and now a grandfather with four grandchildren - has, as head coach, made Germany the most successful Paralympic sailing nation. He has been a certified physical education teacher and sailing coach with an A license since 1977. He successfully applies his decades of experience in establishing sailing academies and training coaches and support staff on a freelance basis to help build TURNING POINT. From 2021 to 2024, Bernd headed the TURNING POINT Foundation’s academy and continues to serve as an advisor to the executive board today. His hobby? Sailing, of course!
