Anna Dechering calls Lake Constance home, but her sailing roots lie in the Ruhr region. Raised in Duisburg, she learned to sail at the age of eight and has never looked back. At just 14, she began getting involved in youth work, assisting with training sessions, leading camps, and later helping to train young sailors. For the past two and a half years, she has been a youth leader on Lake Constance, where she organizes activities for children and teenagers.
Professionally, Anna originally comes from the field of electrical engineering. Even there, sailing has always been a part of her life - as a balance, a source of inspiration, or a connecting element between people. With her experience in technology, club work, and youth work, Anna brings a unique blend of qualities to the team: she is organized, approachable, solution-oriented, and always mindful of how sailing can empower people.
